and the WINNER is. . .

And the winner for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading role is none other than. . Marion Cotillard!


Recently, the 80th Annual Oscar Awards ceremony was being held in Los Angeles. The red carpet was being studded by actors and actresses, dressed with elegant gowns and tuxedo. Different movies were nominated in different categories, from Picture of the Year, to Costume Design, Sound Editing, Visual Effect, so on and so forth. Among those awards, the most awaited part was the announcement of the Best Actor and Best Actress. Luckily, the French actress Marion Cotillard was hailed as the Best Actress for playing legendary singer Edith Piaf in "La Vie En Rose".

Her father is an actor and award-winning director, her mother is also an actress. No wonder where she gets her talent in acting. She started acting during her childhood, appearing on stage in one of her father plays. Her career as a film actress began in the mid-1990's, and rose to prominence in the late 1990'2 when she was cast in the Luc Besson production Taxi. She became widely known in whole France. Her international appearance started when she got a role in Tim Burton's film, Big Fish. This led her to more successful films. After several years of appearing in different movies finally, her talent was recognized and being awarded as the best actress.
